Day 1: Bogotá

Day 2: Bogotá – Private City Tour

Breakfast at hotel.

9:00 am. Scenic tour of the historical district of the city, passing Teatro Colón, Palacio de San Carlos where the Foreign Ministry is based, the Church of San Ignacio, the Presidential Palace of Nariño, Plaza de Bolívar, the Capitol, City Hall and the Cathedral.

Visit to the famous Gold Museum.

Ascent by cable car to Monserrate hill, which offers an excellent view of the Colombian capital.

Notes: Monday: Gold Museum is closed, replaced by Botero Exhibition. Sunday: Monserrate is not included, replaced by the Quinta de Bolivar or the Botero Exhibition.

Return to hotel. Stay.

Day 3: Bogotá – Visit to the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral

Breakfast at hotel.

Leave from hotel to visit Zipaquirá, which is located 49 kilometers north of Bogotá. The Bogotá Savanna and the Puente del Común are sites of interest which can be seen en route. Arrival to the Salt Cathedral, which was built in a 190-meter deep mine and is considered the number one wonder of Colombia. Inside the Cathedral you will see the Ambulatory or Way of the Cross, the Vault, the Ramp, the Choir, Balconies, the Complex of the Nartex and the Grand Naves of the Cathedral.
A panoramic tour of the town of Zipaquirá follows the Salt Cathedral visit.

Return to Bogotá.

Day 4: Bogotá – Cartagena

Breakfast at the hotel.

Private transfer to the airport to take a flight to Cartagena. Assembly and assistance at airport and private transfer to chosen hotel.

Day 5: Cartagena – Private City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel.

9:00 4-hour Private City Tour. Hotel pickup.

Start the panoramic tour by visiting the modern city, bordering one of the most beautiful bays of America (Cartagena Bay), tour of the Manga neighborhood where Republican-style houses can be seen. Visit the La Candelaria convent on Cerro de la Popa, one of the highest points in the city.  Visit the Old Shoes monument and the San Felipe de Barajas Fort, one of the city’s most important historical military fortifications. Then on to Las Bóvedas for shopping and then a walk along the walls of the old town walking down its main streets and plazas.

Return to hotel.

 Day 6: Cartagena – Rosario Islands, San Pedro de Majagua

8:15 Private transfer from Hotel to Dock

The Rosario Islands Natural Park is an archipelago comprised of 27 islands, 45 minutes from Cartagena de Indias. The San Pedro de Majagua Hotel is located on Isla Grande and owes its name to Pierre Daguet, a French painter who made his home and study there in 1955.

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND PAYMENT POLICIES:

  • Quoted rates are subject to change without notice at the time of booking, depending on the availability of the requested services, updated rates, changes related to the providers’ decisions or operations. Taxes, rates and charges levied may also vary according to governmental regulations.

    Prices are quoted in Colombian pesos per person staying in double occupancy. Itinerary subject to change at operator’s disposal.

  • Responsibilities of the tourist: In case of non-provision, when the user of the tourist services should fail to comply by no-show or not using the agreed services, the provider will be able to demand payment of 20% of the total price or established rate or retain the deposit or advance that has previously been received from the user, if the agreement was made in such a manner. (Article 65 Law 300/1996).

  • Cancellation on the part of the passenger will incur a charge of 10% for the agency’s administrative costs along with the costs and/or penalty charged by the operator.

  • Refunds will be dealt with in accordance with the terms of the cancellation policy. Services included in the plan as well as unused services are non-refundable once the trip begins, unless the cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances or verifiable force majeure, illness certified by the health insurer or death of a passenger.
  • However, at the time of booking, please verify payment and cancellation policies, as these may vary according to the date of travel.
AVIATUR voluntarily abides by the parameters of Law 679 / 2001, “which issues by-laws to prevent and counter exploitation, pornography and sexual tourism with minors, in accordance to Article 44 of the Constitution.” It also warns customers that neither the agency nor its guides promote any practice of this kind in any case. There are limits to the responsibilities of AVIATUR in relation to legal matters or other inconveniences in which the user may be involved. In the event of the user being obliged to withdraw from the excursion for other reasons, personal expenses are incurred by the passenger. (Mincomercio Decree 053 Art. 03 / 2002). There are circumstances in which AVIATUR reserves the right to make changes in the itinerary, dates of travel, hotels, transportation or other elements. Changes and cancellation policies, general provisions payment policy: reservations must be paid in full 48 hours before services commence. Changes made between 15 and 5 days before the start of the services will be charged the price of the first night of accommodation. Cancellations or changes made between 1 and 4 days before the date of travel for reservations of 2 or more nights will incur the following penalties: * 4 days before incurs a charge of 50% of the total value of accommodation.; * 3 days before incurs a charge of 75% of the total value of accommodation; * 2 days before incurs a charge of 85% of the total value of accommodation; * 1 day before will be charged 100% of the package. Cancellations or changes made between 1 and 4 days before the date of travel for bookings of 1 or more nights of accommodation will be charged 100% of the total package value as a penalty.  In case of cancellation where there is no penalty, there is a charge of 10% of the package value to cover administrative expenses of the agency.
REFUNDS: Reimbursement of accommodation will be applied in accordance with the terms of the cancellation policy. Services included in the plan as well as unused services are non-refundable once the trip begins. Except for where the cancellation is verified.
